For the first time in quite a while, well-known U.S. bands Tourniquet, Bride, and Guardian are back on a stage in Europe, performing at LEGENDS of ROCK, a new spin-off to the annual Christmas Rock Night fest in Ennepetal/Germany (near Wuppertal/Düsseldorf) on Saturday, Feb 24th, 2007.
The 8-band line-up also features very special reunion shows by UK Christian eighties/nineties rock bands The Electrics, Split Level, and Why?, plus two German bands.

Ted Kirkpatrick has an aggressive, musical, and often unorthodox approach to the drums. His philosophy is to treat the drums as a musical instrument, not just a noisy timekeeper. Ted’s music is inspired by many different sources – he incorporates the sounds of classical masters such as Scarlatti, Bach, and Beethoven into his music as well as sounds found in nature (e.g. the jungle, streams, insects, birds, etc.). Ted is well known for his ability to create and execute polyrhythms within the framework of songs and for his advanced, double bass technique. Readers of HM Magazine voted him “Favorite Drummer” for 10 years in a row, and again in 2003. Ted has twice been featured in Modern Drummer magazine.
Ted is going to share his knowledge with drummers of all skill levels in this 90-minute workshop. This workshop will highlight the following:
* Several drum solos of various lengths
* Demonstrations from simple 4/4 beats to involved polyrhythms
* Information for beginners on selecting a drum set, sticks, proper posture, stick control, and exercises to increase coordination, speed, and endurance
* Question and answer session

Hurricane Katrina Relief |

In the catastrophic wake of Hurricane Katrina, the loss and suffering on many levels is tragic. In the past, we in Tourniquet - with your help - have donated money to human causes – like the Red Cross for the Indonesian tsunami victims. Thankfully, there are many, many organizations and millions of dollars pouring in to help the human victims of Katrina. But there is another entity of hurricane victims who desperately need our help – the domestic and wild animals. This time – they will be the ones who will directly benefit from our donations.
As many Tourniquet fans know, we have had a long and unwavering stance against animal abuse and suffering. The hurricane’s unfortunate impact on animals is heartbreaking. There were many thousands of domestic animals left behind when the hurricane made shore.
In response to the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina, The Humane Society of the United States has launched a massive relief effort to rescue animals and assist their caregivers in the disaster areas. Their highly trained Disaster Animal Response Teams are in Louisiana and Mississippi coordinating a multi-state animal rescue and recovery effort. Their teams have already rescued hundreds of dogs, cats and other animals.
Here’s our chance to help. From now until September 30, Tourniquet will donate 50 percent of our merchandise sales to the Humane Society. Their entire relief effort is funded by donations from people like us, and they desperately need our support.

FINALLY – after 3 years of “out of stock” status, we have Crawl to China CDs in stock again! This is the original release with all the songs and original booklet. The CD itself is the only difference – it’s silver instead of black. As a kind of “thank you” to the fans for waiting so long, for the first 100 people who order it from www.tourniquet.net, your CD will be signed by the three people who created the album - Luke, Aaron and Ted. (with Divine inspiration, of course)
Our original plan to reissue Crawl in a double-disc format has been scrapped for the time being. As we do not own the master, the label has imposed a licensing fee that is too cost prohibitive to embark on at this time.

If it is too small, they can add links (they may or may not have the exact links available). There are also three very small pin choices located on the clasp. You may be able to carefully do all of this yourself with small tools. Also, the watch has two batteries - one for the movement and one for the EL light.
